At Burns Language and Literacy Initiatives, Inc., we are dedicated to promoting literacy as a fundamental human right. Through various programs, we aim to empower individuals and underserved communities by providing access to educational resources and support. Our programs are designed to ignite a passion for reading and writing in young children! In today’s world, literacy is more than just reading and writing; it’s a key that unlocks imagination, critical thinking, and communication skills. Burns Language and Literacy Initiatives, Inc. provides a fun and engaging environment where children can explore the joys of storytelling, enhance their vocabulary, and develop strong reading habits. The Burns Language & Literacy Program will aid parents in increasing and improving their children’s skills in reading, writing, comprehension, and more.
Research has shown that children who read just 20 minutes per day score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests, read and write better, have a more extensive vocabulary, and are more successful in school and life. Through interactive activities, group discussions, and creative projects, we aim to build confidence and foster a lifelong love for literacy. Many of our program are free of charge and only require a parent or guardian to attend with the child. Join us on this exciting journey as we empower young minds to discover the magic of words!
